1. Charlotte Van de Velde (°1988, BE) is a jewellery designer based in Brussels. In her work she uses found pieces of jewellery to create pictures, wearables and objects. The act of searching for and collecting materials is at the core of her practice and determines her working rhythm. Using found, often discarded or damaged objects as her material, she questions the way we produce things and treat our belongings. Combining unique pieces with mass products and plastic with gold, she searches for a tension between what is valuable and what is worthless.
