1. Charlotte Van de Velde (°1988, BE)
    Lives and works in Brussels

Charlotte Van de Velde uses found pieces of jewellery and jewellery-like objects to create pictures, wearables and objects. The act of collecting and assembling materials is at the core of her practice. Using found objects – unique pieces as well as mass products - as a material, she questions the way we produce objects and treat our belongings. By applying minimal transformations, she attempts to subtly change the nature of an object and its attributed meaning and context, in search of the intersection between what is valuable and what is worthless.
