1. Charlotte Van de Velde (°1988, BE)
    Lives and works in Brussels

Charlotte Van de Velde uses found pieces of jewellery and jewellery-like objects to create pictures, wearables and objects. The searching for and collecting of materials is at the core of her practice. Using damaged and discarded objects – unique pieces as well as mass products, she questions the way we produce things and treat our belongings. By subtly transforming and assembling her findings, she attempts to change their nature and searches for a balance between what is valuable and what is worthless.
